About Blackwater Goldendoodles

At Blackwater Goldendoodles, we’re more than breeders, we’re a family raising family companions. Nestled in the heart of Texas, we specialize in Goldendoodles from hunting lines, service and therapy lines, and of course, loving family pets.

As a small, intentional breeding program, we focus on quality over quantity. Every dog in our program undergoes comprehensive health testing before being considered for breeding, including:

PennHIP & OFA certifications for hips, elbows, eyes, and heart
Genetic testing through Paw Print Genetics
Obedience and CGC training, plus gun dog training when appropriate
Our dogs are carefully chosen not just for their pedigree, but for their intelligence, trainability, and gentle temperament.

Each puppy is raised inside our home and handled daily. From day three, we use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and follow the Puppy Culture protocol to build confident, well-adjusted puppies.

These practices help promote:

• Stronger immune and nervous systems
• Improved heart health and development
• Smooth transitions into their forever homes

Our puppies are socialized with our own children and other families to ensure they grow into calm, people-friendly companions ready to thrive in any environment.

Hi, I’m Jessica, and that’s me in the photo on the right. I grew up with pets who were family — they slept inside, joined us on the farm, and shared every moment of our lives. My husband Bryan (that’s him on the left) grew up with more limitations due to asthma and severe allergies.

When we started our life together, we needed a dog that fit both worlds. After researching for months, we found our first F1 Goldendoodle, Emma, and it changed everything. Bryan’s allergies were no longer an issue, and we instantly fell in love with the breed’s temperament and intelligence.

We quickly realized how many families, especially those with special needs, could benefit from this unique combination of traits. And so, Blackwater Goldendoodles was born.

Our hunting doodles are a nod to both the Golden Retriever and Poodle’s origins as gundogs. It’s in their DNA, and by tapping into their natural instincts, we’re able to offer active, driven, and affectionate companions who are just as happy retrieving in the field as they are cuddling on the couch.

We are proud to be a Gold Level Breeder with the Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA), a recognition that holds us to the highest standards in the Goldendoodle breeding community.

Gold Level status is GANA’s highest tier of certification, awarded only to breeders who meet the most rigorous requirements for health testing and responsible breeding practices. This includes advanced screening such as OFA and PennHIP evaluations, cardiac and eye exams, and full genetic testing of all breeding dogs.

As a Gold Level Breeder, we are committed not only to producing healthy puppies, but also to continued education, ethical decision-making, and providing the highest level of care and support to both our dogs and the families who welcome them.
