Selecting for the coat traits associated with the low-shedding Goldendoodle coat is one of the factors we consider when breeding for families seeking an allergy-conscious companion.
However, allergies are individual, and no dog, including a Goldendoodle, can be guaranteed to be completely hypoallergenic or allergy-free. Coat genetics are one tool we use alongside health, temperament, structure, and genetic diversity to make thoughtful breeding decisions.
