The Foundation of Our Program
Our studs are selected for far more than appearance. Each male is carefully evaluated for health, temperament, structure, coat genetics, and the specific qualities he can contribute to future generations. At Blackwater Doodles, we believe the sire is every bit as important as the mom when planning a litter. We carefully consider the strengths of both parents and select pairings intentionally, with the goal of producing healthy, well-rounded Goldendoodles with the temperaments and traits families have come to expect from our program.
All of our Studs are Animal Genetics, Embark, PennHIP, and OFA tested.
Chase
Chase is the definition of an old soul. Incredibly loyal, laid-back, and deeply connected to his people, he has a calm, steady presence that makes him easy to love. He’s happiest simply being near his family and takes everything in stride with his relaxed, go-with-the-flow personality.
As one of our proven studs, Chase has consistently produced puppies that reflect the qualities we value most in our program-loyal, people-focused companions with wonderful temperaments and easygoing personalities. His puppies are a beautiful reflection of the steady, loving nature that makes Chase so special.
Jasper
Jasper is full of personality, confident, playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-focused. He has an outgoing nature and genuine love for his people that makes him the kind of dog everyone remembers. He brings the perfect balance of fun and affection while still being deeply loyal and eager to connect.
As one of our most proven studs, Jasper has consistently produced puppies with exceptional temperaments. Across his litters, we continue to see confident, social, people-focused puppies with wonderful family-dog qualities. His ability to consistently pass along the traits we value most has made him an important part of the Blackwater Doodles program.
Nash
Nash is confident, steady, and incredibly devoted to his people. He has a calm, easygoing presence paired with a naturally affectionate personality, making him just as happy relaxing beside his family as he is joining in on whatever the day brings. He is intuitive, connected, and has the kind of balanced temperament we look for in our breeding dogs.
With several litters now behind him, we are seeing those same qualities reflected in Nash’s puppies. His puppies have shown beautiful, people-focused temperaments with confidence, affection, and an easygoing nature. * A Note About Coat Genetics, Shedding & Allergies
At Blackwater Doodles, we pay close attention to coat genetics when planning our pairings. Furnishings and coat-length genes are important pieces of the genetic picture and can help us better predict coat type and shedding tendencies in our puppies.
For families concerned about allergies, shedding matters because a dog’s hair can carry and distribute dander and other allergen-containing material throughout the environment. Selecting for the coat traits associated with the low-shedding Goldendoodle coat is one of the factors we consider when breeding for families seeking an allergy-conscious companion.
However, allergies are individual, and no dog, including a Goldendoodle, can be guaranteed to be completely hypoallergenic or allergy-free. Coat genetics are one tool we use alongside health, temperament, structure, and genetic diversity to make thoughtful breeding decisions.
